Meet Our Team

Volunteer appeal update

Since the appeal for more volunteers was launched at the beginning of May the response has been encouraging but not conclusive, further help is still needed to save the shop from closure.

The management committee are hopeful closure will be averted and are grateful to the new volunteers who have completed initial training and are now able to fill some of the vacant slots in the weekly timetable.  Others are in training but more help is needed as holiday time approaches and in the past few weeks we have had to reduce our opening times on several occasions due to lack of cover.

You do not have to live in the village to join us (we have volunteers from Duddington, Ketton and Stamford) so why not give it a try, it is a great way to meet new people. You can do as much as you want, some of our volunteers do one shift a month others do a couple of hours a week.  We are very flexible and are keen to accommodate everyone’s wished.  All volunteers receive a 10% discount on their own shopping.

Contact Rachel at the shop on 01780 440830 for more
details and book a practice session.
